Amazon is lookingfor an experienced and driven Marketplace Team Lead to be part ofthe team recruiting sellers in the new Amazon marketplace inBrazil. The Team Lead will be responsible for initiating anddeveloping strong relationships with medium and large sellers andmanufacturers. The objective is to prospect, qualify and close highpotential sellers and manufacturers that deliver key andcompetitive selection, pricing, and availability. In addition torecruiting key sellers, the successful candidate will help themlaunch on Amazon's marketplace by ensuring that they mastercatalogue, pricing and other tools. The Team Lead will also beresponsible for driving projects and setting processes within theirteam and will be the key advocate for his/her category - building aworld-class discovery and purchase experience for customers,expanding selection, and helping to define, shape and executelong-term strategic initiatives. They will work with variousstakeholders and teams across the Amazon organization both locallyand internationally. Responsibilities include: 1. Setting selectionstrategy and managing seller recruitment teams. 2. Effectivelyprioritize and manage a pipeline of sellers to consistentlymeet/exceed targets. 3. Work closely with new merchants, educatingthem about Amazon’s high standards of Delivery and CustomerExperience. 4. Identify and acquire sellers/manufacturers who canhelp bring the right kind of selection and brands for the category.5. Drive innovation aimed at improving customer experience, scalingthe categories non-linearly, and strengthening seller/manufacturerrelationships. 6. Be a business partner for new sellers providingthem with data-driven insights and advice to optimize their successon Amazon. 7. Work cross-functionally with central company-wideteams in Technology, Operations and Merchant Services to establishthe right processes and optimize them to utilize resources mostefficiently. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS required. Demonstratedexcellent business discernment with strong written and oralcommunication skills with the ability to persuade in English andPortuguese. Minimum of 6 years in buying, account management, orproduct management. Strong analytical skills. The ability to useboth formal and informal influencing skills inside and outside theorganization. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects -prioritization, and task delegation. Track record of takingownership and getting it done in an environment where tactical andstrategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel. Willingness to roll up your sleeves. Self-motivated,results-driven, and autonomous taking responsibility for achievingyour targets. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA degree desired.Accomplished range of skill from high-level critical thinking toworking with external partners. Experience in relevant categoriesin e-commerce.
