Job summary We are seeking a remote Senior Bookkeeper with significant real estate accounting experience, specifically in commercial properties (Retail, Office, or Industrial). The ideal candidate will have 2 plus years of industry or asset class experience, strong client-facing skills, and proficiency in Yardi Voyager (MRI experience is a plus). Responsibilities - Timely client communication - Collaborate with Bookkeepers and the Client Success Director (CSD) on the team - Complete bank reconciliations, accounts payables, and accounts receivables - Answer team member questions, provide support for Client on questions - Assist with month-end close and report generation - New property set up, move-outs, owner draws, management fees - Ensure monthly deadlines are achieved Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - Certified Public Accountant preferred (or equivalent experience) - 2+ years of commercial property accounting experience (Retail, Office, or Industrial) - 2+ years' experience with Yardi Voyager (MRI experience a plus) - 2+ years overall experience in real estate accounting/finance, ideally at an accounting firm working on real estate clients or directly at a real estate investment/development company - Able to lead Client meetings - Knowledge about recording purchases, dispositions, refinancing, capitalization of costs throughout real estate development, and rental property income statements - Passion for real estate, perfect books and providing business insights to clients - Strong English verbal and written skills as you will be one of the points of contact for the clients - Able to hit deadlines while staying calm under pressure - Extremely detail and process oriented – you strive in creating organization - Proficient with communication and collaboration tools (Slack, Clickup, Workspace) Location and Schedule - This is a virtual (remote), full-time role that demands availability between 8am-5pm CST Monday-Friday.
