As a Junior Trade Compliance Analyst , you will provide administrative/legal support Robot.com Logistics and Global Trade department, focusing on the review of documentation andinternational trade regulations. This includes research and analysis of trade documents,press reports, international treaties, and the use of global tariff and customs platforms.Additionally, you will assist in preparing weekly and monthly international trade reports,as well as managing documentation processes for imports and exports. The ideal candidate for this position is energetic, collaborative, organized, detail-oriented,and possesses strong communication and analytical skills. They should also haveexperience in international trade, know how to work under pressure, and thrive in ateam-oriented environment. You will be working in a constantly changing setting, soexperience fostering employee engagement through clear communication and handlingcomplex, diverse requests is essential to Kiwibot’s long-term success. Location: Bogotá – On-site. Hybrid model. A typical day as a Trade Compliance Analyst might include: ● Import and export documentation verification: Ensure that all documents(invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, ATA Carnet, etc.) comply with theregulations of both the origin and destination countries. ● Tariff classification analysis (HS Code): Accurately determine the tariff codes fortechnological products, robotic parts, and batteries, evaluating tax implicationsand special requirements. ● Management of special licenses and permits: Process and follow up on permitsfor temporary or permanent exports for different types of shipments. ● Review and application of free trade agreements (FTAs): Identify opportunitiesto reduce tariff costs using bilateral or multilateral agreements, such as theColombia-USA FTA or the RCEP agreement in Asia. ● Monitoring of international regulatory changes: Stay up to date on customsregulations and restrictions in the countries where Kiwibot operates. ● Internal compliance audits: Evaluate logistics and documentation processes toensure the company acts in accordance with international trade regulations and toprevent penalties or delays. ● Coordination with customs brokers and freight forwarders: Facilitatecommunication with logistics operators and brokers to ensure fast and error-freecustoms clearance. ● Support in managing temporary imports (fairs, demos, pilots): Handle temporaryimports for events, pilot programs, or exhibitions, and ensure timely returns toavoid penalties. ● Preparation of legal compliance and risk reports: Produce monthly reports onkey indicators such as clearance times, document compliance, incidents, and areasfor improvement with legal implications. This job might be the right fit for you if: ● You have a university degree or are in the final semesters of InternationalRelations, International Business, or Law. ● You have 1 year of experience in public or private entities dealing with foreign tradetopics between Colombia and the United States. ● You possess strong analytical and legal skills. ● You have excellent communication, attention to detail, organizational, andteamwork skills. ● Intermediate english level B2/C1. ● You are willing to work under pressure and in a collaborative environment. ● You have experience working in fast-paced environments. ● You are proficient in Google Suite. ● You are familiar with tariff platforms such as MUISCA and the Harmonized System. ● You understand international trade regulations and know the processes to obtaincertificates of origin, integration certificates, and endorsements for import/exportprocedures. ● You have knowledge of Incoterms. ● Nice to have: B1/B2 valid american visa. You might stand out even more if: ● You speak Spanish (we are a Latin American startup!). ● You have demonstrated interest in international trade. ● You possess strong legal skills (customs law). ● You have strong technological skills. ● You are available to work in a hybrid format in Bogotá.
