Job Title DNS DevOps Engineer About Your Business Area/Department: This role is part of a global Infrastructure team responsible for automating and operating our critical DNS infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. The team operates under a Follow-the-Sun model, ensuring 24/7 support and collaboration across regions. Summary of the role: We are looking for a DNS DevOps Engineer who is essential to ensure the sta-bility, performance, and scalability of DNS services across a multi-cloud envi-ronment, including Infoblox, BIND, and cloud-native DNS platforms. You will work in a Follow-the-Sun model, collaborating with international teams to support a highly available and secure DNS platform. This is a hands-on engineering role combining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, and operational excellence. In this role you’ll: · Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for DNS infrastructure using Terraform. · Design and implement automation for DNS operations and deployments. · Operate and support DNS services across Azure, GCP, AWS, and on-prem environments (Infoblox, BIND). · Ensure high availability, performance, and security of DNS infrastructure. · Troubleshoot DNS-related issues and participate in incident response and root cause analysis. · Collaborate with internal teams to support DNS needs for applications and services. · Improve monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana. · Contribute to DNS architecture design and standards. · Participate in an on-call rotation for 2nd level DNS support. About the ideal candidate: · Deep understanding of DNS fundamentals (record types, resolution flow, zone delegation, DNSSEC). · Hands-on experience with BIND and/or Infoblox in production. · Familiarity with cloud-native DNS (Azure DNS, Google Cloud DNS, Route 53). · Proficiency in Terraform and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go). · Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and tools like Jen-kins, Docker. · Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). · Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. · ITIL awareness or certification is a plus. · Excellent communication and teamwork skills. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field—or equivalent practical experience. · 5+ years of experience in DNS engineering, network operations, or DevOps roles. · Experience managing DNS in large-scale or enterprise environments. · Exposure to multi-cloud environments is highly desirable. · Relevant certifications (e.g., Terraform Associate, Azure/GCP, Infoblox) are a plus.
