Payments Operation Leader – Domestic Payments Job Summary Citi’s Payments and Receivables business is one of the largest movers of money in the world for large corporations, financial institutions and governments, maintaining one of the largest proprietary global financial infrastructures and facilitates approximately $4 trillion of flows daily. This is a senior role under the TTS Payments operations team in the CSC Colombia, leading the the Domestic Payments Operations for the LATAM cluster in the CSC. This role provides managerial oversight and directs the day-to-day operations of the transaction processing function for the centralized unit responsible for the Domestic payments operations in Bogota. This role requires thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the P&R Business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. The leader is accountable for significant direct operational results based on regional and global strategies for the Domestic P&R products. The leader will coordinate our strategic initiatives that deliver substantial gains in the areas of demand management, process simplification and Digital transformation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Managerial oversight for the Domestic Payments & Receivables Operations unit that supports cash management processing and payment execution for Citi franchises for the Latam cluster. Collaborate with peer global Payments Leaders to refine the model and proposed BOW. Execute and oversee the implementation of standard global platforms, ensuring comprehensive operational readiness plans in place and any potential gaps identified and escalated accordingly. Partner with senior stakeholders to support the Right Placement Strategy, Tech for Operations, Network efficiency and Cost to Serve with TTS’ view. Focus on continuous control improvements across all areas to ensure continued improvement of the control framework in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner. Active participation in the definition of the Domestic Payments BOW Agenda, Operating Model design and transformation rollout strategy across all countries and Citi Service Centers Lead Footprint analysis and implementation. Responsible for developing Business Models and proposed capacity planning supporting the next steps of the transformation MANAGEMENT COMPLEXITY Ensure alignment and integration with the Global Domestic Payments initiatives and Global TTS teams Assist in the Development of the End state operating model and the supporting systems requests Negotiate priorities and defend point-of-views with peer leads Lead initiatives of right placement by ensuring minimal impact to the countries and its customers Drive implementations by motivating and directing the project / operations team Ability to foster and develop teams in distributed geographic environments Ensure quality and on time preparation of project deliverables MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS Ongoing relationship with peer leads of other work streams Ongoing relationship with senior global leads from other components of the Transformation Program Ongoing meetings and status review presentations with the Senior Management from Corporate, Business and Country Financial Control Departments. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MSc degree in Production Engineering, Finance or Business Administration Solid experience with Payments products and Operations. Experience working in an international business environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES 10+ years of Leadership and Managerial experience in similar roles Knowledge of current Citi current systems infrastructure, with emphasis on Payments systems and ERP systems involved in the Payment process. Strong Process Management Experience Process oriented with broad technology knowledge Comprehensive knowledge of Citi Products and services Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, prioritization, decision making, organizational as well as conflict resolution skills.
