The Role The Sr Sales Account Manager role is responsible for generating revenue growth through the sale of AspenTech software solutions and professional services. This customer-facing role requires self-motivated individuals with excellent business, industry, and sales knowledge. The Sr Sales Account Manager will use consultative skills to position AspenTech solutions, renew, and grow our business. Managing assigned accounts and opportunities to maximize revenue and deepen customer relationships is key. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain business within Energy industry accounts, including upselling solutions and services. You will lead cross-functional teams to formulate client strategies, manage solutions, and close strategic opportunities. Your Impact Developing business within an assigned region and upselling consulting services. Formulating client strategies, managing clients, and closing strategic opportunities. Building and managing relationships at all levels within customer organizations. Articulating the value of solutions and coordinating company resources to meet objectives. Understanding customer business priorities and discussing industry trends. Maintaining knowledge of current software usage and competitive landscape. Creating account plans, opportunity strategies, and pipeline development. Responding to RFPs, preparing bids, negotiating, and closing sales. Providing updates and forecasts to sales management. Achieving sales quotas and forecasting deals accurately. What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree Bilingual: Spanish and English At least 5 years of software sales or industry experience in consultative selling. Strategic sales thinking with a proven track record of solution sales and quota achievement. Excellent communication skills. Self-discipline, motivation, and goal-setting ability. Knowledge of process industries and related software products. Understanding of asset management and maintenance processes. Willingness to travel 25%-50%.
