The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business. **Responsibilities**: - Assist the Regional Public Policy Director in building a public policy strategy to ensure the success of corporate goals in the region. - Engage with government and policymakers in the region. - Carry-out research and reporting on domestic and international policy issues relevant to the company. - Help TikTok think and act locally: provide strategic guidance to internal teams. - Inform cross-functional product and corporate teams about policy and regulatory developments in the region. - Develop and implement engagement and advocacy strategies as needed. - Represent TikTok at high tech industry gatherings, trade associations and coalition meetings. **Qualifications**: - 7+ years of professional experience in the public policy field - Demonstrated knowledge of political and/or advocacy ecosystem - Passionate about TikTok -tech-savvy or strong comfort around technology. - Impeccable written and verbal communication skills -all research, reporting, documents, and presentations must be of the highest professional quality. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: the individual will need to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines. - Strong teamwork and communication skills: the individual will need to work with other areas, assess needs, define alignment and collaboration paths. - Discipline and self-drive - Experience in a tech company, particularly a user generated content platform, is a plus. - Strong legislative and regulatory analysis capabilities - At least a B.A. Degree in public policy, law, economics, or international relations is preferred. - Excellent Spanish and English language fluency, spoken and written. **Diversity & Inclusion Statement**: TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
