The API Platform Team at ViX is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team! The API Platform Team’s responsibility is to deliver resilient, low latency APIs that power our many client platforms and partners. ABOUT YOU: Great engineers ship and you are comfortable with delivering iteratively and often! You evangelize software craftsmanship and operational excellence yet pragmatic to know when to incur technical debt versus ‘doing it right’. You are confident yet humble enough to change your mind when new information presents itself. You value open communication and are willing to give and receive feedback. You can stay calm when things aren’t going well. YOUR DAY-DAY: - You will be producing high-level architectural designs and implementing those designs. - You will deliver systems that are architecturally sound, operationally excellent and aligned with business needs. - You will be working remotely with a multi-disciplinary team across time zones. - You will be expected to acquire a deep understanding of your assigned systems - You have a sense of ownership to do the best with the time available and are proactive about triaging and prioritizing problems to get fixed YOU HAVE: - 7+ years of software development experience as a technical individual contributor - 4+ years of hands-on API and system development. - 3+ years working in the video streaming space. - 5+ years of cloud-based development - Have an expert level understanding of APIs (REST and/or GraphQL). - Proficient in written and spoken English OUR BENEFITS: TelevisaUnivision believes that a happy, well-balanced employee is what makes our culture thrive.
