Employment Type: Contract Work, 40 hours weekly About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Backend Developer with expertise in Golang for this contract employment opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems, APIs, and services. This role also involves working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS , to ensure scalable and efficient service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Golang (Go) . Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external use. Optimize and refactor existing codebases for performance and scalability. Develop and manage infrastructure using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and others. Work closely with DevOps, Frontend, and Product teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of backend features. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members. Monitor and debug production systems to ensure high availability and performance. Document technical solutions and processes for internal teams. Design and implement data transformation processes to ensure the accurate and efficient transfer of data across various platforms. Optimize data transformation workflows for speed, reliability, and data integrity. Architect, deploy, and manage containerized services leveraging Kubernetes Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, with strong hands-on experience in Golang (Go) . Strong expertise in container technologies, with a focus on Kubernetes, experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development . Experience working with AWS cloud services and deploying backend applications in a cloud environment. Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. Experience with version control systems like Git. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT). Previous experience working in agile or scrum environments.
