The role involves working within the civil engineering industry, specifically producing water line, sewer line, and other dry utility coordination (fiber optic, electric, phone, etc.) for North Carolina Department of Transportation submittals. Responsibilities Design and develop detailed engineering plans for utility projects, including water, sewer, and dry utilities. Ensure projects comply with local and national building codes and regulations (North Carolina). Collaborate with contractors to manage project timelines and budgets. Provide technical advice and resolve issues during construction projects. Requirements Engineering degree with 6 to 10 years of experience, or a CAD drafter with over 10 years of experience. Mandatory MicroStation Geopak experience. Experience with NCDOT roadway profiles and utility design. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
