**You'll get to: - Accountable for the daily management of team activities, including serving as the technical leader for assigned area of responsibility. - Conduct regular meetings, that include issue discussions. - Resolve issues as appropriate and escalate issues further as needed. - Ensure department systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies. - Seek and recommend process improvements for departmental procedures. - Participate in and actively support the integration of new businesses into Shared Services Center. - Ensure to follow the Corporate Closing Calendar and all task deadlines are reached with accuracy and quality expected. - Enforce and enhance internal control structure and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control objectives. - Support Internal and External Audit requirements in a timely and accurate manner, and internal Balance Sheet Reviews performed by Corporate Controllership and BU Controllership Teams. **Who You Are** You always strive to do a good job...but wouldn't it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good? You also have: **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**: - Proficient in SBD's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP) is a plus. - Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and processes including experience in the RTR processes (GL Accounting). - Ability to multitask, highly organized. - Ability to drive the completion of critical tasks. - Excellent problem identification and prioritization. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel. - Understanding of some internal control activities and practices. - Demonstrated penchant for continuous improvement of managerial skills. - Goal oriented, ability to reach tight deadlines. - Must be able to communicate in English in a fluent manner. - Knowledge/experience in US GAAP is a plus. **Education/Experience** - Bachelor's Degree on Accounting with 3 + years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required. - Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience in lead role in a finance or accounting function is a plus - Experience in ERP migration, HFM and Black Line is a plus. **We Don't Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology Too.** Joining the Stanley Black & Decker team means working in an innovative, tech-driven and highly collaborative team environment supported by over 58,000 professionals in 60 countries across the globe.
