We are on the lookout for a talented and passionate Video Game Audio Engineer to join our team and help us bring our games to life with exceptional audio. Position Overview: As a Video Game Audio Engineer at Supernova Games, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the audio elements of our games, enhancing the overall player experience. You will work closely with our game development team to create captivating and immersive soundscapes that resonate with our players. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with game designers and developers to understand the audio requirements and creative vision for our games. Record, edit, and implement high-quality audio assets, including music, sound effects, and voiceovers. Utilize your expertise in audio hardware and software to ensure seamless integration of audio into our game engine. Maintain and optimize audio pipelines, tools, and processes to streamline production. Create and fine-tune audio systems, mixing, and effects to achieve a balanced and immersive audio experience. Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues during game development and testing. Qualifications: Proven experience ( 7+ years of experience ) in audio recording and editing for video games or a related field. Proficiency in audio editing software such as Wwise, FMOD, or similar game audio middleware. Strong understanding of audio hardware, including sound cards, headphones, and speakers. A keen ear for audio balance, detail, and the ability to create compelling soundscapes. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of game development. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Passion for video games and a desire to enhance player experiences through audio. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a related field. Experience with field recording and Foley work. Knowledge of interactive audio principles and adaptive music systems. Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine. Proficiency in musical composition and arranging. Experience with 3D audio and spatial audio techniques.
