Hiring Department The Robert J. Trulaske, Sr College of Business Department: Master's Programs Office Job Description The Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, Master's Programs Office is recruiting for an Advising & Student Services, Assistant Director to lead the Student Services team in delivering program services to students and faculty, including advising, event programming, and enrollment forecasting. Reporting to the Director of Master's Programs, the Assistant Director provides supervision, guidance, and counsel to the Master's Programs Senior Academic Advisor. The role involves strategic support, staff development, and maintaining effective communication within the college and university. This position is part of a team supporting master's students, faculty, and events, managing student support, course registration, and daily operations of the program. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and supervision for the Senior Academic Advisor, including goal setting and evaluation. Serve as an academic advisor and subject matter expert for MBA and Master of Accountancy students to enhance program completion and professional development. Balance advising loads efficiently among team members. Analyze enrollment data and collaborate on course planning with faculty and department chairs. Coordinate curriculum revisions and work with faculty on course sequencing. Lead new student orientation, both in person and virtual. Oversee student events and registration processes. Plan and execute virtual programming for master's students. Manage activities related to academic progress and enrollment adjustments. Ensure timely processing of graduation paperwork and manage related data. Assist faculty, staff, and external organizations regarding program functions. Manage unit expenditures and support faculty in hybrid and online environments. Shift Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM, with occasional nights and weekends (2-3 times per semester). Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus at least 3 years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of academic advising experience. Experience collaborating with faculty and departments. Knowledge of graduate student advising, curriculum processes, and student engagement. Understanding of federal regulations for international students. Customer service experience, planning student activities, and report creation. Experience working with diverse populations in higher education. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems like MyZou and PeopleSoft. Effective communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
