We are seeking a strategic procurement leader to oversee the acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Job Description The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost savings and enhance business relationships. They will manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Sourcing: - IDentify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability. - Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms. - Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings. - Contract Management: - Develop and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers. - Ensure that contracts accurately reflect the agreements reached between parties. - Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Risk Management: - Identify and mitigate procurement and contract risks. - Maintain accurate records and documentation. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, as well as 5 years' experience in procurement, including full contract lifecycle management. Qualifications - Strong negotiation and contract management skills. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of procurement best practices. - Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. - Experience managing United States-based contracts. Reporting Relationship This role does not have direct reports, but the ability to work with all internal team members is critical for success.
