Join our Liquid and Powder Technologies team in Colombia as an: Automation & Commissioning Team Leader The Automation & Commissioning Team Leader is responsible for leading and managing an engineering team focused on automation and commissioning. Leader Skills Coordinate resources for projects and services, collaborating with external GEA offices. Support, track, and empower each team member. Implement and support the strategy for the Automation and Commissioning department. Promote and implement automation standards. Technical Skills Understanding of manufacturing processes in the beverage industry. Knowledge of CIP processes and hygienic design. Pre-engineering automation development including scheduling, control sequence modeling according to P&IDs, and FDS design. Generate dimensioning, software, and hardware lists for automation architecture. Review and modify process engineering documents as needed. PLC programming for process and CIP sequences. Programming of HMI and SCADA systems. Setup of industrial protocol networks and IO peripherals. Setup and commissioning of VFDs. Execution of FAT procedures covering software, electrical cabinets, and skids. Perform IO testing, dry runs, and product testing including water production tests, CIP procedures, and PAT. Soft Skills Planning team vacations. Continuous improvement of plant processes. Effective communication with internal stakeholders such as engineering, project management, and automation teams. External stakeholder communication including customer sites, suppliers, and providers. Time management skills including activity description, milestone scheduling, and task planning. Educational Background Degree in engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Automation, Electronic Mechatronics). (Valuable) Master’s Degree in Automation Technologies. (Valuable) Formal training in Project Management. Professional Knowledge and Experience Over 1 year of experience in coordinating small teams. More than 5 years of experience in automation and commissioning projects within the food & beverage industry. Knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware architectures.
