Now Hiring Pharmacist for a Medical Oncology Clinic with Infusion Site and Retail Pharmacy PRN - Office hours (M-F 7:30-4:30), up to 16 hrs. a week. No evenings, weekends, and closed on major holidays. Oncology experience preferred but not required; training provided on-site. SCOPE: Under supervision, assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical setting, promote efficient patient flow, and perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and managing schedules. Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics, Business Standards, and Shared Values. Responsibilities: Dispense medications and consult patients regarding oral chemotherapy Prepare and dispense chemotherapy for in-clinic use Handle Prior Authorization submissions and appeals Organize and oversee technician workflow Manage inventory of medications and supplies Stay informed on new drug information from representatives Collaborate with doctors and nurses to ensure optimal patient care Maintain confidentiality of all patient and staff information Supervise pharmacy technicians as needed Qualifications: Physical Demands: Must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and mobility. Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing required. Work Environment: Regular exposure to patients and potentially hazardous substances, including chemotherapeutic agents.
