Overview The Senior QA Analyst role is expected to apply analytical thinking to design, document, execute and report on quality testing of the Company’s software. A basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of testing and how to construct tests that exercise all key application features is required. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced agile environment. Various aspects of testing theory, test automation, and the Quorum suite of products will be introduced by direct supervision. Responsibilities Research, understand, and perform a variety of complicated software testing activities including cloud concepts and participation in architectural designs and reviews Performs test case quality reviews of peers and junior testers Possesses deep knowledge of one or more Quorum products Demonstrates understanding and application of a variety of testing strategies, concepts, practices, and procedures, and evangelizes new concepts, practices, and procedures within the team Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, with a wide degree of creativity and latitude Provides guidance and support where necessary to junior testing personnel Able to collaborate effectively with senior developers, automation engineers, and architects on new initiatives or on resolving critical issues Communicates professionally and effectively at all levels within or outside the organization Be part of and contribute with testing efforts for both Core (new features) and Maintenance (bugs) teams Develop and execute detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback Support and enhance QA processes And other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, Mathematics, Human Factors, Computer Science or MIS. 5 - 8 years of experience in software testing. An understanding of agile concepts, Black box and Exploratory testing. Strong innovative, analytical and communication abilities Solid understanding of testing throughout the software life cycle Enjoys learning and sharing new techniques and technologies Enjoys working with team members at all levels of experience Experienced with black box testing and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts. Is competent working under general direction on complex projects, issues, and problems. Hands on experience with Desktop application testing Hands on knowledge of API testing is preferred Is experienced with Oracle or SQL Server including writing basic queries Experience with:TFS, Azure DevOps, Test RailAgile management practices (Scrum or Kanban)Microsoft Excel Fluent in English, both written and verbal Additional Details Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation. Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Colombia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
