About the Role We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our high-impact Data Engineering team, with a special focus on finance-driven projects. You will play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines, financial reporting systems, and database architectures that support automated billing, real-time analytics, and data-informed financial operations. In this role, you will bridge deep technical skills with a solid understanding of financial workflows—helping streamline processes, reduce errors, and accelerate close cycles. Your work will directly support smarter decision-making across finance, operations, and executive teams. Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain finance-focused ETL pipelines using tools like Databricks. - Improve data quality, report latency, and pipeline performance through optimization. - Implement data validation and cleansing processes. - Develop integrations with third-party APIs. - Architect and maintain cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions, including designing star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs). - Develop and maintain Power BI data models, reports, and dashboards. - Partner with finance, operations, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Advanced SQL and Python for ETL development (familiarity with PySpark preferred). - Proficiency in Power BI (DAX) or similar BI tool. - Experience with relational database design and development. - Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and data lake/warehouse architectures. - Familiarity with Excel. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs (authentication, pagination, rate limits). - Strong communication skills to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders. - Problem-solving mindset to troubleshoot data discrepancies. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Understanding of Financial data sets and processes. - Experience with Databricks or similar tools. - Experience with real-time data streaming. - Experience with Git. - Knowledge of DevOps.
