Role Summary The Medical Manager/ Medical Advisor (MM/MA) holds primary responsibility within the cluster/country for the development and execution of the Country Medical Affairs Plan (CMAP) and, is expected to spend up to 20-30% of their time in scientific engagements with Scientific Leaders (SL) and Key Decision Makers (KDM). Key responsibilities include cross-functional strategy collaboration and execution, building trust with the medical/scientific community, facilitating peer-to-peer medical and scientific exchange, and providing asset issue resolution support. Responsibilities and Primary Activities Strategic and Tactical Leadership Development and execution of the Country Medical Affairs Plan (CMAP) Translates Global Medical Goals and Strategies into tactics and solutions that support optimal scientific exchange aimed at helping improve patient outcomes and enhancing access Supports execution of and quickly adapts tactical plans to local corporate needs Coordination with RDMAs to implement Global and Regional Medical Strategy to local level bringing the local scientific and healthcare environment perspective to the Regional Medical Affairs team Provides non-promotional, balanced, and reliable scientific information following company standards and local regulations Budget management (planning, execution and monitoring) of non-promotional medical education programs and Group Input Meetings. Cross Functional Collaboration **Cross-functional work with Human Health areas**: Marketing, Market Access and MRL Stakeholders (Regulatory Affairs, PV, GCTO Collaborates with our research laboratories/Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) personnel to identify potential investigators for our clinical development programs Follows up on Investigator-Initiated Study (IIS) proposals aligned with Our Company ISS Program areas of interest Participate in activities related to the design and execution of LDGs in their country, including scientific discussion of outcome needs with research and the desired implementation approach Medical and Scientific Leadership Scientific engagement with SLs and KDMs. Gather medical insights according to corporate procedures Medical review of promotional materials based corporate standards Provides non-promotional, balanced, and reliable scientific information following company standards and local regulations Communicates scientific and corporate needs appropriately and effectively across internal stakeholders Builds trust with the external scientific community via peer-to-peer scientific exchange, research, and educational collaborations, as well as interactions with scientific societies, health organizations, publications, etc. Provides scientific trainings (clinical studies) to internal stakeholders Develops and executes country non promotional medical educational programs Leads local Group Input Meetings (advisory boards and expert input forums) Participates in and contributes to professional organizations and academic/regulatory working teams Team work with Field Medical staff (MSLs and other MM/MA) Medical Information (if applicable) Medical information request (MIR) management in collaboration with GMAC hub (Medical Information and Field Medical Areas) Inclusive Mindset and Behavior Demonstrates eagerness to contribute to an environment of belonging, inclusion, equity, and empowerment Leads by example and serves as a role model for creating, leading and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience Minimum **Education**: Bachelor´s Degree in Health Sciences (prefer). Master or PhD will be considered. Post grade training in specific therapeutic area will be a plus A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical and/or research experience in a relevant disease area, public health or associated areas.
