We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced), and solid knowledge of GAAP. This onsite role requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position supports the Controller and has direct visibility to the Senior VP of Finance, the Director of Financial Reporting, and the CFO. The role focuses on the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple locations within a centralized structure. Responsibilities: Support monthly, quarterly, yearly close and reporting processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis for income statement and balance sheet accounts Support preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including intercompany account reconciliations, elimination entries, and FX translation adjustments Prepare and analyze monthly bank, retail, and credit card reconciliations Maintain fixed asset records, ensuring accuracy and compliance Recommend and implement process improvements, including documentation of procedures Assist with audits, regulatory filings, and special projects Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Research accounting standards and draft technical accounting memos Liaise with Tax department to help resolve Tax issues Support ad hoc reporting and special assignments as needed Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or CMA preferred 5+ years of accounting experience Experience in consolidated financial statement preparation preferred (1–2 years) Background in audit, public accounting, or internal audit a plus Familiarity with distribution or industrial services industry preferred Experience with ERP and GL systems (eStelplan, Invex preferred but not required) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and analytical abilities Detail-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines Comfortable working independently and within a team under pressure Discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive information Ability to collaborate across departments and build strong working relationships #J-18808-Ljbffr
