Clinical ResearchPhysician (CRP) - Medical Affairs Purpose: Through the applicationof scientific and medical training, clinical expertise, andrelevant clinical experience, the Business Unit - Medical AffairsClinical Research Physician (CRP) is an integral member of themedical affairs, development or a business unit brand team forstrategic planning in the support of launch and commercializationactivities to meet patients' needs and ultimately enhance thecustomers' experience in interacting with the company. Thedefinition of "customer" here includes patients, providers (HCPs),and payers. The CRP may also work closely with global Developmentteams, Therapeutic Area Program Phase, Early Phase/ ClinicalPharmacology, and Translational Medicine teams in new productdevelopment activities over the entire spectrum of drug developmentand clinical trial phases. Specific activities include developingor contributing to the global and/or regional clinical/medical planin his/her therapeutic area of responsibility, the development,conduct and reporting of local clinical trials; the reporting ofadverse events as mandated by corporate patient safety; reviewprocess for protocols, study reports, publications and datadissemination for products; new and updated labels, documents andtools supporting product pricing, reimbursement, and access (PRA),grant submissions and contracts; contacts with regulatory and othergovernmental agencies; the outreach medical activities aimed at theexternal clinical customer community, including thought leaders;and various medical activities in support of demand realization. Inaddition, with input from the Director-Medical and Business UnitTeam Physician/Regional Medical Leader, the CRP is responsible forassuring that his/her activities are clearly aligned with thestrategic priorities of the respective business unit global MedicalAffairs team, brand team(s), global Development team, TherapeuticArea Program Phase, Early Phase/ Clinical Pharmacology, andTranslational Medicine team(s). Primary Responsibilities: - Theprimary responsibility of the Business Unit - Medical Affairs CRPis to provide expert medical support to all aspects of the localbusiness, to ultimately enhance the customers' experience ininteracting with the company. This includes local marketed productsupport (participate in the development of the "patient journey",knowledge journey, segmentation, unmet need analysis for theelaboration of a comprehensive annual medical plan reflective ofsuch analysis and in alignment with product strategy. - The CRP isresponsible for proposing and conducting Scientific activities thatanchor the unmet needs of the medical scientific community and thestrategic plan for the compound, medical support for regulatoryaffairs and interactions with government agencies, medical supportfor pricing, reimbursement and access (PRA), and leading in localscientific data dissemination. Minimum Qualification Requirements: - Medical Doctor. Must be board eligible or certified inappropriate specialty/subspecialty or have completed the comparablelevel of post-medical school clinical training relevant to thecountry of hiring. - Must have completed education and training ata medical school that meets the requirements of the LiaisonCommittee on Medical Education (LCME). - Knowledge of drugdevelopment process relevant to country/region preferred. -Demonstrated ability to balance scientific priorities with businesspriorities. - Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal,teamwork, leadership, organizational and negotiation skills. -Demonstrated drive and learning agility. - Demonstrated ability toinfluence others (both cross-functionally and within the function)in order to create a positive working environment. - Ability toengage in domestic and international travel to the degreeappropriate to support the business of the team. - Fluent inEnglish, verbal and written communication.
