Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to join our team at Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin) in Bogotá, Colombia. About the Role: - This is a mid-senior level position that requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, mechatronics engineering, or production engineering. - The ideal candidate will have experience in developing plastic products using injection molding, extrusion, and other plastic processing methods. - You should have 8 years of proven experience leading plastic product design, ensuring technical quality, coordinating resources and development processes, proposing innovation improvements. - Experience in setting up 3D models (preferably SolidWorks or CAD) is required. - Deep knowledge of plastic product design and manufacturing, technical leadership, WTI tools, root cause analysis is essential. Responsibilities: - Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong organisational skills to ensure effective planning and tracking of activities and actions. - Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. - Excellent communications skills in English, both verbally as well as in writing. - Willingness to travel (10-20% if necessary).
