The role The Academy & Apprentice Manager is responsible for managing and driving the success of the talent development programs within the academy for a specific region. This role will oversee the execution of academy initiatives, onboarding, learning and development, and career progression for new graduates, apprentices, career changers, and those returning to work. The Academy & Apprentice Manager will ensure that the academy's programs meet regional business needs, align with global objectives, and help nurture a pipeline of skilled talent for the organization. Key Responsibilities External providers/stakeholder management Stay informed about local/regional government regulations on educational outreach programs, ensuring compliance with funding initiatives. Establish and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, charities, and government agencies to source and onboard learners into the SoftwareOne Academy. Manage external training providers involved in delivering training to SoftwareOne Academy learners. Partner with AWS, Microsoft, and GCP external stakeholders to enhance program offerings. Organize community Outreach for graduations along with the Talent Acquisition team. Internal stakeholder management Become a business partner within your region, and for your allocated Service line or practice, facilitating and leading conversations about the Academy for pipeline. Provide regular reports and updates to senior stakeholders on the academy’s progress and impact in the region. Collaborate with the Global Talent Operations team to ensure consistency in program delivery across regions. Work with Learning Experience Designers on any adaptations/iterations on our curriculum to meet the needs of the business. Maintain engagement through internal platforms such as Viva Engage, SharePoint, and LinkedIn, sharing updates on academy cohorts and activities. Coordinate seamlessly with P&C Business Partners and Internal Academy stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of programs and activities. Running Academy cohorts Manage the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of learner activity whilst engaged in the Academy programme ensuring a high-quality learning experience. Provide academic and pastoral support to all Academy learners. Monitor learners’ attendance, engagement, performance, and achievement, maintaining accurate records for reporting. Take an active role in the induction and onboarding of Academy Associates and Apprentices (ONEStart). Plan, organise, and monitor rotations of apprentices to provide well-rounded training experiences. Facilitate training sessions as needed within the curriculum. Serve as the primary point of contact for all Academy learners in the region. Engage with business stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and execution of academy initiatives. Foster and maintain relationships with our learners beyond their Academy journey – managing and facilitating ongoing interactions within our Academy Alumni community. What we need to see from you Strong background in Learning & Development (L&D) and instructional design. Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Proven experience in stakeholder management within the regions. Ability to navigate a complex internal landscape, managing relationships with educational institutions, charities, and government representatives. Strong organizational and administrative skills to effectively track and report on learner progress. Proficient in Excel. Knowledge of or experience in project management principles . Interest in or understanding of local/regional government funding for educational outreach, including apprenticeship programs.
