If you are a smart, ambitious and dynamic sustainability professional with a strong passion to make a real difference in the fight against climate change, the below position may be right for you! **Job summary**: As a Regional Senior Manager, Stakeholder Engagement, NBS, Climate Projects - LatAm, you will provide leadership and ensure proper coordination and delivery on the overall development and implementation of the social component of South Pole carbon projects and stakeholders' engagement approach and management. Reporting directly to the Regional Associate Director, Technical, NBS, Climate Projects - LatAm. You will successfully design, develop and implement the social aspects of all the emission reduction and biodiversity projects within the LatAm region, in close collaboration with the project manager (PM)'s and other technical contributors, including delivering all milestones proposed for any specific Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) project’s and collaborating when necessary with other members of the NBS LatAm team and project key stakeholders as well as other possible technologies from Sustainable Technologies, and consultancy mandate. You will focus on the proper development of the social strategy of the project cycle, both for carbon and biodiversity; ensuring compliance with all the milestones or guidelines proposed by the applicable standards, international best practices and industry requirements, the policies, and guidelines at South Pole, and any other social, environmental and governance safeguards policies or regulations that are country-specific where the projects are developed. In addition, you will be responsible for the supervision and strategic guidance of the team in the framework of the carbon project cycle, ensuring the good performance of the team members in the development and implementation of the activities in the programs and projects. Also responsible for fostering and enhancing team capacity, promoting, and facilitating continuous training in theoretical and methodological skills as well as best practice in the social sciences for the execution of the work and achievement of the objectives in carbon mitigation and biodiversity projects. This position requires advanced qualifications in social/community-based project management including coordination, planning, implementation, and monitoring of carbon and biodiversity projects in the AFOLU sector and occasionally for other technologies available in the market throughout South Pole’s LatAm portfolio. It also requires the management of community aspects and co-benefits in multicultural contexts, which is necessary for the articulated work of inter - and transdisciplinary teams. **Main tasks & responsibilities** - Supervise and provide technical guidance in preparing and updating the Social and Stakeholder Engagement strategy and methodologies for Enlistment, Due Diligence, Design, Development, Implementation, and Monitoring (MRE), and audits of South Pole’s Climate Portfolio - Provide guidance and review of the work plans and budgets of the social component following the project archetypes for South Pole’s climate projects portfolio within the region - Be up to date and provide technical guidance to the teams regarding best practices in the phases of engagement, consultation, participation, and project implementation with indigenous peoples and other community-based stakeholders, for carbon project development, in line with international and national standards, best kind examples and country-specific regulations within the LatAm region - Supervise the Social team within NBS technical team in the region, ensuring a timely and cost-effective design and delivery of the development of the activities of the social component for the certification and implementation of Climate Projects - Provide technical input and expert advisory and participate in discussions related to drafting or updating South Pole’s policies and guidelines related to social and stakeholder engagement for developing its portfolio of projects - Ensure the participation of the team in decision-making spaces - Design, review and evaluate the Manager level objectives a
