Hiring Department Otolaryngology Job Description NIH-funded Research Technician position with full benefits is available in the Baker Lab at the Life Sciences Center, University of Missouri-Columbia. The main responsibilities include maintaining animal colonies, conducting experiments using tissue culture, confocal microscopy, western blot analysis, and flow cytometry. The technician will participate in generating experimental results, manuscript preparation, and presenting at scientific meetings. Additional duties involve purchasing lab supplies and assisting with administrative tasks such as note-taking during lab meetings and helping with grant applications. Shift 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Preferred Qualifications BS or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biology, Physiology, or a related discipline. Demonstrated potential ability to perform essential functions as outlined in the position description.
