As a growing company, we offer a **competitive salary,** and a supportive team environment that encourages professional growth. **Responsibilities** - Review and manage accounts receivable for medical services rendered. - Contact patients and insurance companies to follow up on outstanding balances. - Verify patient information and update medical records as necessary. - Utilize knowledge of ICD-10, and medical coding to resolve billing discrepancies. - Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the system. - Collaborate with the medical office team to facilitate smooth billing and collections processes. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies regarding medical collections **Experience Required**: - Minimum **1 year** of medical insurance collections experience - Experience in **DME or orthotics/prosthetics collections** preferred - Knowledge of **medical terminology, HCPC codes, and ICD-10**: - Familiarity with clinical documentation from referral sources - Proven experience in medical collection and appeal process - Familiarity with medical records management and office procedures - Strong understanding of medical terminology and billing practices - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service - Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player. **About Mahnke’s Orthotics & Prosthetics**: Mahnke’s Orthotics & Prosthetics is committed to providing **high-quality, patient-focused orthotic and prosthetic care**.
