We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity expert to join our team in a critical role. Job Description Our organization is looking for a skilled professional to develop, implement and maintain a layered security platform that ensures the integrity of our IT systems and data. This role requires a deep understanding of information security best practices, as well as experience in implementing and operating security technologies and processes in a hybrid cloud environment. Responsibilities: 1. Develop, document and implement a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. 2. Ensure that all firewalls, security devices, systems, databases and applications are properly configured and logging. 3. Research new and emerging security threats and develop techniques to identify and mitigate these risks. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security requirements are integrated into the development lifecycle. 5. Train and mentor other team members on security best practices and procedures. 6. Partner with Quality Systems & Infrastructure Management to ensure proper quality management and adherence to security requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. - Possess one or more advanced professional security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CEH). - Demonstrated understanding of information security best practices. - At least 2+ years' experience implementing layered security practices for network, host, applications, data and access to IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services in a hybrid deployment environment. - Deep experience in developing and deploying security-specific solutions, including automation of repeatable security tasks and controls. - Strong practical knowledge of web authentication/authorization standards. - Solid oral and written communication skills. - Experience implementing and operating security technologies and processes in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS or Azure) and customer premise. - Cloud-based security run-time management experience. - Experience with software-defined network, compute and storage platforms. - Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, load balancing and software-defined layer 2/3 rule configurations). - Deep experience with security vulnerability and penetration tools (Tenable, Qualys, ProofPoint, Pentera). - Implementation and management experience with hardware and software firewalls, AV and IDS/IPS platforms.
