Job Title: Senior AI/ML Engineer – Conversational Systems About the Role: We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer – Conversational Systems to join our AI innovation team and lead the design and development of cutting-edge, customer-facing conversational AI solutions. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in natural language understanding (NLU) , machine learning , and dialog scripting to create seamless voice and messaging interactions across multiple channels. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize AI-powered applications for voice and text-based customer interactions Train and test custom speech and acoustic models Implement SSML to enhance speech synthesis and user experience Create custom pronunciations using phonetic symbols Monitor and tune dialog performance and customer interaction outcomes Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, cyber, and compliance Generate actionable reporting insights to align AI solutions with business goals Ensure compliance with all policies and industry best practices What You Bring: Technical Expertise: 8+ years of software engineering experience with focus in NLP/NLU 5+ years of hands-on experience with platforms like IBM Watson or similar cognitive technologies Advanced programming skills in Java, Python, R, JSON , and familiarity with Node.js and JavaScript Experience developing dialog interpreters and virtual assistants Understanding of conversational design patterns (e.g., disambiguation, slot filling, etc.) Preferred Knowledge: Conversational AI for SaaS applications Security and compliance practices in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare) Pre-trained language models and cognitive testing methodologies Best practices in IT governance Soft Skills: Strong collaboration skills with UX, engineering, and product teams Passion for innovation and challenging the status quo Ability to mentor team members and make independent, data-driven decisions Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Required) About VRIZE INC VRIZE is a Global Digital & Data Engineering company, committed to delivering end-to-end Digital solutions and services to its customers worldwide.
