We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong medical insurance background with billing-collections experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and billing processes, as well as experience in medical collections. Responsibilities Review and manage accounts receivable for medical services rendered. Contact patients and insurance companies to follow up on outstanding balances. Verify patient information and update medical records as necessary. Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 , and medical coding to resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the system. Collaborate with the medical office team to facilitate smooth billing and collections processes. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies regarding medical collections Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of medical insurance collections experience Experience in DME or orthotics/prosthetics collections preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, HCPC codes, and ICD-10 Familiarity with clinical documentation from referral sources Proven experience in medical collection and appeal process Familiarity with medical records management and office procedures Strong understanding of medical terminology and billing practices Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
