They perform tasks and complex tests across all laboratory areas (hematology, bacteriology, chemistry, blood bank) according to established protocols. They operate equipment necessary for high-volume, less complex analytical tests, recognize instrument malfunctions, and make corrections or notify supervisors. They are responsible for performing and recording quality control procedures and recognizing abnormal or critical test results.
