About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Lead to oversee and strengthen our treasury operations. This role is critical for optimal cash management, compliance with foreign and local payment regulations throughout Americas, and efficient execution of payment and banking processes. Key Responsibilities: - Lead payments operations team, ensuring timely and accurate execution of payments, cash monitoring with local teams and Head Quarters, providing visibility of potential risk of liquidity. - Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, particularly in foreign payment controls and cross-border transactions. - Monitor cash flow impacts, identifying funding needs and optimizing working capital. - Oversee clearing of interim accounts and ensure alignment with established KPIs and internal controls. - Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Procurement, Accounting, and Controlling teams to ensure alignment and end-to-end efficiency in Source-to-Pay process. - Drive process improvements, automation, and control enhancements within treasury and payment operations. - Serve as key point of contact for internal and external audits related to payment activities. - Support strategic initiatives related to treasury transformation, ERP enhancements, or regional expansion. - Provide senior management with regular insights and reporting on treasury metrics, risks, and opportunities. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve success and create value for the region, directly impacting positively KPIs for the market. - Manage banking relationships with local and regional banks, overseeing BAM bank account management. - Identify and anticipate risks that could impact market operations & performance and strongly support issue resolution and prioritization. - Lead/participate in Business Performance Reviews and ensure agreed actions plan are implemented in line with the needs of the market and in accordance with S2P processes and policies. - Develop, mentor, and coach payments/treasury team to build capabilities and foster high-performance culture. - Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity. - Ensure team members are trained and equipped with necessary tools and resources to perform jobs effectively. - Manage hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members. - Foster positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and innovation. Required Skills and Qualifications - Deep understanding of end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes, including Order Management, Accounts Payable, Payments (automatic proposals, foreign and manual), Vendor Communication, and Sourcing & Procurement Compliance. - Strong stakeholder management capabilities with proven ability to influence across functions and seniority levels. - Highly analytical with solid numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills. - Energetic, proactive, and resilient leader, capable of working at pace and driving continuous improvement and change. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to navigate complex organizational structures and interact effectively with diverse teams, cultures, and management styles. - Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate, guide, and develop talent. - Curious mindset with passion for learning and exploring areas beyond immediate scope of responsibility. - Ability to manage pressure effectively, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results in dynamic environments. Candidate Profile A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; postgraduate studies or certification preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury, and/or Procurement functions. Proven experience leading and managing medium-sized teams in shared services or multinational environment. Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal; Portuguese is a plus.
