Job Overview Downstream Process Engineering Division (DPED) under Process & Control System Department is seeking a Product Quality Specialist to join its team. The DPED is responsible for developing, managing, and ensuring compliance with product specifications for fuels, chemicals, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) across the company's operations. As a Product Quality Specialist, your primary role will be to develop, manage, and ensure compliance with product specifications for fuels, chemicals, and LPG across the company's operations. Key Responsibilities - Develop and review product specifications for fuels, chemicals, and LPG. - Evaluate, approve, and monitor the use of additives to enhance product performance and compliance with industry regulations. - Ensure compliance with ASTM, ISO, and other global fuel and chemical quality standards, ensuring products meet performance and environmental requirements. - Analyze and interpret fuel quality data, ensuring adherence to product specifications and identifying potential risks or improvements. - Conduct investigations into fuel quality deviations, product failures, and customer complaints, providing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions. - Work closely with laboratory teams to oversee product testing, validate analytical methods, and enhance quality control processes. - Assess and recommend improvements in testing methodologies to enhance product consistency and reliability. - Provide expert guidance on refining, blending, and petrochemical processes to optimize product quality. - Support and troubleshoot quality-related issues at production plants, refineries, and storage facilities. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product quality standards align with operational, environmental, and business objectives. - Participate in regulatory audits and compliance assessments, ensuring the company meets all local and international standards. - Engage in industry benchmarking to stay updated on fuel, chemical, and additive technologies and evolving regulatory requirements. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, procedures, and quality manuals. Requirements - Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering. An advanced degree is preferred. - Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in product quality in oil & gas plants or refineries.
