dotCMS is a cloud-based Universal CMS that is changing how enterprises do digital. We are seeking a motivated Full stack Engineer in the LatAM region to join our dynamic R&D; Team. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution and stability of our platform by delivering scalable, reliable, and high-quality code. You will take ownership of feature implementations and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle. We're proud to be 100% remote! dotCMS has been fully remote for over a decade and as an employee, you may work remotely from any location that is compatible with standard U.S. business hours (unless specified otherwise). What you’ll bring to the team: - Participate in the end-to-end development of product features: from requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and deployment. - Design solutions with a customer-centric mindset, ensuring features solve real user pain points and deliver measurable value. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs with supervision, applying analytical skills to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions. - Design, implement, and integrate RESTful APIs with focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. - Support quality assurance efforts through manual testing and validation of feature completeness. - Participate in code reviews to learn from peers, improve your coding skills, and share your knowledge. - Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, product ideation and kickoff, retrospectives, and product demos. - Contribute to production support activities as needed, helping to monitor, triage, and resolve live issues. - Effectively communicate with stakeholders translating technical concepts into clear business value, and demonstrate delivered features to internal teams. - Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration. - Contribute to the product roadmap by identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement based on technical insights and customer feedback. - Ensure all code and processes comply with established security and data privacy requirements. - Leverage AI tools and automation to optimize workflows, enhance product capabilities, and improve development efficiency. Why we get excited about you: - 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Java (core and backend frameworks), along with strong proficiency in frontend technologies like JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Angular or React. - Working experience with RESTful APIs and Docker for service development and deployment. - Exposure to managing product feature lifecycles; from development through testing and release. - Ability to align technical work with product goals and user needs, with support from senior team members. - Experience in using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code assistants) to improve development efficiency. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, and working within sprints. - Good product thinking mindset, curious about how features impact users and the business. - Experience writing and maintaining unit tests; exposure to integration testing is a plus. - Willingness to support manual QA and feature validation alongside testers. - Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Basic understanding of Kubernetes or container orchestration concepts is a bonus.
