Seeking a highly motivated bilingual (English/Spanish) individual to join our team as a T Visa Legal Assistant. This role is essential in supporting the T Visa team by ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of T visa cases, while maintaining a client-centered approach aligned with the firm’s objectives and goals. Responsibilities - Case Management: Serve as the initial point of contact for clients after signing a legal services contract. Review intake screenings and documents to help clarify case strategy. - Research & Records Requests: Conduct research and gather civil and criminal records relevant to clients’ cases. - Document Management & Preparation: Collect and organize client biographical and supporting documents. Maintain well-structured case files for easy access. Draft immigration forms, case portfolios, cover letters, and other necessary documentation. Provide certified translations as needed. - Communication: Maintain clear and accurate communication with the case manager, attorneys, and other firm staff to ensure effective case processing. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required. - In-person position at our Medellín office. - Bilingual (English and Spanish), spoken and written, required. Additional languages are a plus. - Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills. - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Preferred Qualifications - Background and/or experience in immigration law is a plus. - C1-level proficiency in English and Spanish. Work Environment - This is an in-person position at our Medellín, Colombia office. - Training is provided, but you must be adaptable to new and evolving technologies. Pay & Benefits - Base salary: $5,280,000 COP per month. - The position offers direct employment with the firm under an indefinite-term contract, including all legally mandated social benefits in accordance with Colombian law. - Flexible working hours within a 42-hour workweek, five days a week. - We provide comprehensive training and professional development opportunities to support your growth within the firm.
