Hiring Department The University of Missouri School of Medicine - Department of Otolaryngology Job Description The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Missouri seeks Medical Scribes. Primary Responsibilities: Assist in facilitating patient flow and ensure accurate, thorough medical records for each patient. Accompany the physician into patient examination rooms to transcribe the patient's history and physical exam and document the physician's interactions with the patient and others present. Accurately record diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as directed by the physician. Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology exams, and medications. Document provider-patient encounters in real-time, including any procedures performed by the physician. Shift Must be available 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. No office/admin hours; no flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least six months of experience as a Medical Scribe or related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Anticipated Hiring Range Range: $14-$18/hour; Grade: PAT-3A; Title: Medical Scribe. Internal applicants should refer to the Talent Profile in myHR for their university title.
