Apply for Job Job ID: 55626 Location: Columbia Full/Part Time: Full-Time Hiring Department The Department of Engineering and Information Technology in collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Missouri Columbia campus Job Description The Department of Engineering and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Missouri campus, invites applications for a Teaching Professor position at the Assistant or Associate level. This role supports the educational mission of the department and the Information Technology degree program. We seek a dynamic and dedicated faculty member for teaching undergraduate Computer Science courses in programming, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas and a passion for teaching and mentoring students. Ranked teaching professors engage in departmental, college, and university-level activities and have access to professional development opportunities. This is a non-tenure track faculty position. Qualifications The position requires a strong interest and commitment to teaching, mentoring, and supporting undergraduate students. Applicants must be capable of teaching and developing a variety of undergraduate courses in Information Technology, with particular interest in Cyber Security, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering. Candidates should have at least an M.S. in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field by the start of the appointment. Evaluation will consider background in computer science fundamentals, a Ph.D. degree, undergraduate teaching experience, ability to develop courses in emerging technologies, and excellent communication skills.
