Reports To Production Manager Job Purpose Supporting the Production Manager with the day-to-day management of the manufacturing area. Overseeing a group of employees and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets Tasks and Responsibilities Production Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with safety and quality requirements. Plan to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet the established requirements while achieving quality and safety standards. Work closely with maintenance area to ensure manufacturing equipment it is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly. Ensure the team are aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities. Ensure achievement of production against stated capacity targets. Manage regular stock takes to ensure 100% inventory accuracy. Training & QSHE Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures, ensuring they understand the quality procedures and standard operating procedures. Drive performance of team members, giving direction and feedback to aid good performance. Identify areas for efficiency improvements. Contribute in the improvement of working procedures by constantly looking for solutions to ensure the best productivity results of the machines and ensuring compliance with procedures, operating instructions and work instructions. Record and investigate non conformances, agree and implement counter measures. Investigate and respond to customer complaints, identify and eliminate root cause and implement corrective actions. Guarantee cleanliness and order of the factory. Ensure a safe working environment with strict adherence to all safety protocols, and the timely response to accidents investigation and prevention of unsafe working practices and behaviors. People Management skills Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. Maintains Production/Warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required Skills And Attributes Required Degree in Industrial engineering, administration or related areas preferred. Experience in the similar position for at least 2 years Knowledge of production and Warehouse & logistics processes Knowledge of Management Systems (ISO 9001/14001) Leadership and personnel management Good communication & organization skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Analytical and data interpreting skills Work well under pressure and results driven.
