We are seeking personable and efficient wait staff to attend to our patrons at our legacy family restaurant during the evening shift from Tuesday to Sunday. We are seeking candidates who are interested in long-term employment and are eager to learn and grow with the company. Experience is preferred, with a minimum of 6 months. Compensation for this role is commensurate with relevant experience and any applicable certifications, in addition to tips, which are contingent upon your customer service abilities. Requirements: Bilingual (Spanish/English Speaking). Good communication skills. Great customer service. Experience working in a Mexican Restaurant (mom and pop). Knowledge of Mexican Food. Food Handler or Manager Certification. Proven experience working as a server (min. 6 months) is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The ability to follow directions. The ability to work in a team. The ability to stand for extended periods of time. Wait staff will be responsible for: Preparing tables, greeting, and seating customers. Making recommendations. Taking orders from diners, takeout, phones, and tablets. Delivering food and drinks as well as accepting payments. Maintaining areas organized, clean, and sanitized. Packaging phone, takeout, and tablet orders. To be successful as wait staff you should be able to: Provide customers with the feeling of being treated like family. Work well in a team and have excellent customer service skills. Take orders in (Spanish/English) to provide our non-English-speaking customers the comfort of placing their orders in their primary language. Be efficient and problem-solve. Be a fast learner.
