About You and this Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-native infrastructure. You will leverage your deep expertise in Kubernetes development and architecture to make key architectural decisions, drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, and lead the team in delivering scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems. This role offers the opportunity to have a transformative impact by addressing complex technical challenges and delivering critical cloud infrastructure solutions.
Key Objectives Design, develop, and implement complex Kubernetes solutions, including custom operators, to automate and orchestrate critical applications and services. Architect and manage infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (GCP, AWS) using Terraform and Helm charts. Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on Kubernetes best practices, cloud architecture, and infrastructure automation. Optimize and troubleshoot Kubernetes deployments for performance, scalability, and reliability. Drive innovation and contribute to the evolution of our cloud-native platform. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent Strong experience as software engineerig Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, development, and operations, including custom operator development in Go. Extensive experience with major cloud service providers (GCP, AWS) and their Kubernetes offerings (GKE, EKS). Mastery of infrastructure-as-code tools, specifically Terraform and Helm charts, for provisioning and managing cloud resources. Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage in cloud environments. Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go preferred). Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with other cloud providers (e.g., Azure). Contributions to open-source Kubernetes projects. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio). Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
