Responsible for overseeing and optimizing operational processes within LATAM insurance operations. This includes managing daily workflows, ensuring efficiency in contract administration, monitoring key operational metrics, and driving process improvements. The individual will work closely with internal teams (Underwriting, Technical Accounting, Compliance, etc.) to streamline operations, enhance reporting accuracy, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Include: Operational Oversight Responsible for managing operational relationships with internal teams and external partners across LATAM. Ensure effective coordination with Technical Accounting (TA) to track and manage financial operations, including bookings, contract creation, and adherence to accounting policies. Manage adherence to ICS requirements for operational activities, including self-assessments for the region. Oversee financial reporting and reconciliation processes, ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Lead the monthly LATAM Operations Roundtable , providing status updates on ongoing tasks and workstreams. Ensure regulatory compliance with local LATAM standards, adjusting operational processes as necessary. Support internal audits and regulatory examinations by ensuring required documentation and reporting are up to date. Work closely with Underwriting, Technical Accounting, Claims, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth operational workflows. Provide guidance on contract management, tracking performance and adherence to SLAs. Act as a liaison between operations and TA to streamline technical accounting tasks and improve efficiency ; ensure monthly and quarterly bookings are completed timely. Oversight of income or EGPI reviews, updates; results and reporting requirements of the credit control function, and outward contracts reporting needs. Identify LATAM-specific operational requirements and implement processes tailored to local market needs. Manage the process as it relates to Essor to SCOR transfer and bookings , ensuring a seamless transition between functional teams involved. Develop policies to enhance operational efficiency within the LATAM market. Liaising and providing guidance to underwriters, transversal functions and stakeholder. Change & Operational Improvements Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency. Monitor and enhance system capabilities to support LATAM operations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the operations team. Contributor to Center-of-Excellence (CoE) framework and pillars. Required experience & Competencies Strong P&C insurance industry knowledge, with a solid understanding of underwriting, policy administration, and technical accounting processes. 5+ years of experience in insurance operations, brokerage or MGA entities operations, financial reporting, or related fields. Experience working within the LATAM insurance market is strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and implement operational controls. Required Education College/University degree required. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Required Languagues Portuguese Spanish Can take part in discussions on familiar subjects in meetings.
