About The Role The Legal Assistant Team Lead is responsible for supervising and supporting a team of Legal Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality administrative support to paralegals, attorneys, and clients. Work schedule: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm EST. Payrate: $9/hr. What You'll Do - Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows to ensure efficiency and consistency across case management. - Lead and support a team of legal assistants, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and operational agility. - Monitor quality control standards and identify opportunities to eliminate waste and streamline processes. - Ensure accurate and timely preparation of immigration documents, checklists, and templates. - Demonstrate a humanitarian mindset by advocating for clients with empathy and integrity. - Oversee document preparation to ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements. - Provide ongoing training and mentorship to team members, encouraging life-long learning and personal growth. - Manage individual and team performance through feedback, coaching, and measurable objectives. - Collaborate cross-functionally with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure seamless case handling. Qualifications - Prior experience in immigration law or legal support (2+ years required). - Proven leadership or team lead experience (1+ preferred). - Strong technical aptitude, including comfort with case management systems and online platforms. - Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred. - Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills. - Demonstrated professionalism, work ethic, and a positive, nimble attitude under pressure. - Ability to receive feedback, adapt quickly, and maintain a client-first mindset. - Reliable access to a private computer and stable internet connection.
