Result of Service The consultancy consists of the following outputs being these non-limitative: Output 1. Methodological and descriptive construction of all the processes of sampling, fieldwork and analysis of the results regarding the geotechnical components of the territory. - Output 2. Technical document proving the geotechnical analysis of the municipal territories involved in the project. The document should include: 1. Engineering analysis of the various subsurface components, including exploration, sounding and corresponding field testing; 2. Cartographic and geotechnical maps of the area analyzed, which contribute to a clear understanding of the geological environment of the area; 3. Geotechnical zoning of the territory, including descriptive mapping for its understanding; 4. Definition of the possible stability of each zone in the face of civil works; 5. Recognition of potential risks and hazards arising from the properties and nature of the soil. - Output 3: Document with guidelines and recommendations for the consolidation of the various risk management components in the selected municipalities. The document should include 1. Delineation of threat sectors related to subsoil components, their capacity and stability; 2. General recommendations for mitigation and attention to identified risk areas, 3. Understanding of the endogenous and exogenous dynamics and processes involved in the geotechnical survey; 4. Synthesis of results and conclusions - This deliverable must be presented in PDF and Word format. Work Location Caldas, Colombia Expected duration 6-month contract **Responsibilities**: a.) Information and validation: - The consultant will be responsible for keeping the HUB Coordinator informed and having to obtain validation of his/her activities in the full project cycle. b.) Development: - Review and analysis of existing information at the municipal level concerning the geotechnical components of the territory. - Analysis and characterization of the territory from a geotechnical point of view, analyzing hazard and risk variables. - Coordination of the risk analyses carried out with the territorial planning policies, including an articulation with the preparation and/or updating of the Territorial Management Plans to be developed in the selected municipalities. - Work with the other members of the team to articulate the different outputs and components that make up the project. - Provide high-level technical support as required, both to the counterpart and to other members of the technical team. - Preparation of a synthesis in which the results of the analyses developed are summarized. - Carry out the activities assigned by the HUB Coordination that correspond directly to the consultant's profile. - Attend meetings, workshops and relevant spaces where their participation is required. - Accompaniment in the coordination and consultation with the corresponding entities. - Carry out knowledge transfer processes (workshops and trainings) to the multiple stakeholders involved. c.) Approval: - The consultant will be responsible for supporting compliance with project approval processes, as well as monitoring the development and implementation of programs and projects. - Support the Hub Coordinator in the development of inputs for conceptual notes, project documents, implementation plans and budgets, and in general all the documentation necessary for internal approval of projects, following the provisions of the various manuals of procedures, internal regulations, and regular channels established by the Agency. d.) Implementation: - Attend the technical (virtual) meetings needed to meet the scopes and objectives defined for the consultancy. - Provide information to UN-Habitat regarding affectations that the process of implementing the consultancy may have. - Provide inputs for the systematization of the processes carried out and exchange of practices and successful experiences with other HUBs in the region, with headquarters branches, counterparties and who appoints the UN-Habitat HUB Coordinator for Andean countries. - Follow up on technical guidelines determined by the Project Coordinator and Coordinator HUB Andean Countries. - Comply with the schedule of activities according to the guidelines of the HUB Coordinator. - When it is necessary to provide accompaniment to the UN-Habitat Coordinator and/or team in the establishment of communication with counterparties and stakeholders. e.) Knowledge Management: - The consultant must know the processes, procedures, and standards of the organization, to ensure an adequate quality of the activities described above according to the standards of the organization. - Propose formats and procedures that allow the efficient implementation of the Agency's projects. - The consultant must know the file system of the projects and ensure their proper maintenance, accessibility for all officials and the proper updating. - Design methodologies for the sys
