Job summary Leading company specializing in the design of control solutions for the building automation industry is seeking to fill the following position: Design Engineer_ Senior Level. The Senior Design Engineer will act as the primary design engineer on projects and may lead project teams consisting of other Design Engineers. Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the HVAC control design field and recognized expertise in the control theory for specific systems. Qualifications - Knowledge of Microsoft Office software. - Knowledge of Autodeck AutoCAD software. - Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory. - Knowledge of the elements and building blocks of HVAC controls. - Knowledge of damper actuator and control valve sizing and selection. - Knowledge of the control strategies and logic that can be used to provide optimum operation of plant level HVAC systems. - Knowledge of the control strategies and logic that can be used to provide optimum operation of supplemental HVAC systems. - Knowledge of supervisory control strategies for the overall operation of the BMS. - Knowledge of BMS communication protocols and network topologies. - Knowledge of Honeywell DDC product offering. - Knowledge of the company's design standards and processes. Responsibilities - Ensure that the project requirements and risks are understood. - Ensure that final product matches the design intent. - Make final decisions regarding installation method and materials. - Design a stable, robust, implementable, scalable, and maximum performing BMS communication network. - Get approval from the customer or consulting engineer on installation methodology and materials. - Ensure successful procurement of electrical subcontractors. - Maintain relationship and develop trust with internal and external customers.
