Job Description: **DUTIES AND **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Performs skilled and manual work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of USG offices located in Hangar 2, Colombian National Police (CNP) Base, at Guaymaral. Inspects and monitors the execution of INL ARAVI construction projects. Conducts site visits to ensure that Police facilities staffed by USG contractors are operating in safe conditions and provides necessary reports and recommendations to the CNP and the INL ARAVI team. Assists INL ARAVI staff in office upkeep and maintenance. Assists in processing supply transactions and oversees supply inventory processes as well as monitoring of contractor’s Government Furnished Equipment/Government Furnished Property (GFE/GFP) End-Use Monitoring. Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the INL-ARAVI Fuel Station. Performs other duties as directed. Must be aware of and adhere to Colombian safety standards and guidelines. - Programming inspects and monitors construction projects and Police facilities. - Ensure the efficient maintenance and operation of US Government facilities and property - Process and monitor INL ARAVI supply - Performs periodic site inspections of INL-ARAVI construction projects to verify execution, standards, and progress towards contract goals. - Conducts site inspections of Colombian National Police-owned facilities in which USG contractors operate, to oversee compliance with safety standards. Makes reports and recommendations for the CNP, INL ARAVI, and the INL ARAVI institutional contractor. - Performs periodic site inspections of offices and their associated equipment and conducts general preventive repairs to ensure proper operation; conducts scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance to facilities and systems as assigned; provides written reports to supervisory personnel noting any problems that cannot be immediately remediated and recommends solutions; provides administrative support related to general duties. Complies with all Colombian and local environmental, safety and quality standards and regulations. - Work is characterized by a broad scope of duties associated with facilities maintenance requiring a basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, drywall, ceramic tile, hardwood floor maintenance, plumbing, and electrical circuits. Initiative is required, as well as the ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision. Employee will be issued a basic tool kit and personal protective equipment in order to perform his/her duties, will be required to ensure government property is secured, and be responsible for property inventory management of the offices and personally issued equipment. - Responsible for processing INL ARAVI Foreign Military sales (FMS) supply transactions as directed by the INL ARAVI logistics Advisor. - Conducts periodic audit reviews on inventories conducted by contractor. - Conducts audit reviews on both contractor and Colombian National Police in area of Government Furnished Equipment/Property (GFE/GFP) and End-Use Monitoring (EUM) at all supported INL ARAVI Colombian National Police supported Air bases and its remote air operational bases. **Job Requirements**: **MINIMUM **QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** - Technical certificate from a recognized Colombian secondary, post-secondary, or vocational school in: the following specialties: General Repair Person. - Courses and/or experience in one or more of the following areas are highly desired: Carpentry, painting, drywall, ceramic tile, hardwood floor maintenance, plumbing, and electrical circuits. - Must be certified to work at heights as defined by Colombian law. Valid Colombian Driver’s License required, and successfully pass the Embassy driving course. **LANGUAGE **LEVEL**: - Spanish: Level 4 - Fluent Level required in Speaking/Reading/Writing/Listening - English: No English level required **EXPERIENCE**: - Three years’ experience conducting facilities maintenance and conducting supply type inventories. - Broad experience in a variety of trades outside of their certified training field to include; carpentry, painting, drywall, ceramic tile, hardwood floor maintenance, plumbing, and electrical circuits and managing supply type facilities. - Two years’ experience with clerical tasks, to include inventory control of raw materials and parts.
