As a Senior IT Business Analyst you will be responsible for global distribution centers (dc), ensuring that the physical assets operate efficiently. They will achieve this by monitoring performance, implementing security measures, planning for scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Their hands-on approach will ensure a fast, reliable, and secure infrastructure. For this role, you will be expected to be located in Prague, Czech Republic. A Day in the Life • Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitoring network performance, server health, and storage capacity. Proactively identifying bottlenecks and optimizing configurations to enhance speed and reliability. • Security Measures: Ensuring the security of the DC infrastructure is paramount. Collaborating with security teams to implement access controls, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols. Regular vulnerability assessments and patch management are part of this responsibility. • Capacity Planning: Anticipating future demands, assessing current capacity, and planning for scalability. This involves forecasting resource requirements, such as additional servers, storage, or network bandwidth. • Documentation and SOPs: Maintaining detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs). Ensuring consistency, facilitating troubleshooting, and aiding in disaster recovery. • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with other IT teams (such as network engineers, system administrators, and database administrators) to ensure seamless coordination for infrastructure changes and upgrades. Must Haves • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, Computer Science, or equivalent educational/work experience preferred. • 5+ years of IT software and hardware knowledge. • Self-motivated with the ability to work individually or in a team. • Meticulous with a focus on data accuracy. • Excellent written and verbal skills. Nice to Haves • Broad knowledge of IT Asset Management and IT concepts, disciplines, best practices, and methodologies. • Experience with Vendor Management and Contract Management. • ITIL Certified (in accordance with Global and Local Contractual requirements).
