Vector Corrosion Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated recent graduate to join our team in Columbia, Maryland as a Control Panel Technician . In this role, you will play a key part in the assembly, wiring, programming, and testing of control panels in accordance with technical specifications. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and excellent communication skills. We’re looking for someone who is committed to quality, adheres to safety and environmental standards, and brings an innovative mindset with a keen eye for detail. This position is available as a full-time role or a paid internship , depending on the candidate's experience and availability. Responsibilities Assemble control panels and panel power supplies based on design schematics and drawings Perform electrical wiring, layout, and component installation to meet project specifications Handle and work with hazardous chemicals as needed (training and PPE will be provided) Support administrative tasks, procurement activities, and logistics coordination Interpret and troubleshoot control circuits, motor controls, safety systems, and power distribution Perform other duties as assigned to support the operations of the department #US Recent graduate from a technical or vocational school in Electronics Technology or a related field Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and instrumentation concepts Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and the sequence of operations Familiarity with AutoCAD is considered an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also an asset Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on technical work Willingness to travel within the United States; must hold a valid passport for travel to the UK Must be local to the Columbia, MD area Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with one hour for lunch Vector is a drug and alcohol-free workplace Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening $20 per hour Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) With scamming/false job advertisements on the rise, Vector urges all applicants to exercise caution when applying for jobs.
