We boldly go. Job Summary: The Maintenance Team Lead role is responsible for ensuring their maintenance team is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and minimize equipment downtime. The Maintenance Team Lead provides effective training to the maintenance team and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. The Maintenance Team Lead will coordinate and work alongside maintenance technicians to ensure that reactive work requests are carried out in a safe and timely manner. The Maintenance Team Lead will drive problem solving efforts for their assigned areas in order to increase team and machinery performance. Responsibilities: Work with supervisor and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met. Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements. Attend MDI meetings for respective areas daily and report status updates and participate in problem solving activities. Use basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell. Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor. Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues. Prioritize work orders and both delegate as well as contribute to the closure of work orders and needs of the plant. Assign work orders to team members to ensure team is working efficiently and effectively. Update department metrics and facilitate regular team communication. Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Maintenance Supervisor. Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities. Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate maintenance functions. Handle any and all tasks required to support plant operations. Qualifications: High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least (2) years of prior leadership experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to work with others collaboratively. Strong organizational skills. Strong Electrical Experience Required. Strong Mechanical Experience Required. Willingness to change, flex and learn.
