The Senior Analyst, Employee Relations, plays a pivotal role in fostering effective and cooperative relationships with HR Business Partners, Business Leaders, Employees, and other Human Resources team members. As a proactive change agent, this position serves as an advisor and coach, guiding employees and leaders in employee relations matters. This role is responsible for collaborating with the HRBP to apply HR processes, policies, and procedures, and implementing strategies that support the organization's goals. Key responsibilities include: - Serving as the ER subject matter expert for business and human resources partners, engaging internal and external legal resources as necessary. - Preparing and conducting disciplinary processes in all stages, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal working rules. - Collaborating with the HR Solutions/Payroll team to address requests from employees or former employees related to Labor Relations. - Supporting the life cycle of employment processes by assisting with required documentation and partnering with the legal team when necessary. - Ensuring timely resolution of service requests, adhering to defined quality standards, and meeting customer satisfaction levels. - Working with the Legal team to investigate and respond to charges from the Minister of Labor or other agencies, constitutional actions, and Labor litigation. - Providing facilitation and dispute/conflict resolution advice to department managers and staff. - Overseeing, coordinating, and resolving human resource issues, including interpreting human resource policies, procedures, and practices related to progressive discipline, performance management activities, and employee assistance during crisis situations. - Investigating and resolving harassment and/or discrimination complaints and proposing solutions to address wider concerns, if applicable. - Tracking and reporting ER process data to provide proactive metrics and insights for the business regarding employee relations and trends. - Reviewing and updating HR policies or processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations. - Facilitating organizational health assessment processes, delivering feedback, and providing appropriate support for implementing recommendations. - Designing and implementing employee relations support & interaction models and programs. - Collaborating with all HR partners, including HRBPs, HR Solutions, and COEs, to ensure alignment of the delivery model with organizational strategies and business initiatives. - Ensuring the company remains compliant with all legal requirements and aligns with the Asurion Way and Leadership Principles. - Acting as the focal point for all labor-related endorsements. - Participating in project work as needed. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree or its equivalence Experiences, Skillsets & Personal Competencies: - Demonstrated ability to conduct confidential enterprise-wide investigations on critical employee relations matters and present findings and recommendations to leaders, as appropriate. - Demonstrated ability to translate data and predictive analytics into proactive actions for the organization to prevent or pre-empt negative trends. - Analytical, project management, initiative, and creative problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated flexibility and solution-orientation in problem-solving with strong influencing and negotiation skills. - Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment in establishing and maintaining good working relationships. - Ability to develop and facilitate 1-on-1, small group, and class training & development initiatives and programs. - Strong understanding and knowledge of laws and regulations relating to employment/labor law. - Positive employee relations and union avoidance experience/background. Personal Competencies and Attributes: - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline; or law degree. - Minimum 3 years of experience in Employee Relations. - Subject Matter Expertise in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Employment Law, and Regulatory Compliance.
