What You Can Expect In this role you will be responsible for creating and revising solid models and detail drawings using 3-Dimensional modeling tools under the direction of a project leader or graphic designer. You will also be responsible for the integrity of the computer-graphic products, process model databases, architectural prints, or factory layouts. These models must be suitable for internal concurrent manufacture, CAE evaluation, CMM data extraction, vendor translation, or architectural/mechanical reference. If this sounds interesting to you, apply now How You'll Create Impact - Work simultaneously with all cross-functional engineers to create complex 3D surfaced or solid models of orthopedic devices - Create and maintain detailed drawings of mechanical systems, factory layouts, or architectural prints - Create 2D specifications linked directly to the 3D model, with attention to company drafting standards - Develop casting, forging, and any other process models and drawings in partnership with process engineers and CNC programmers - Evaluate device designs using anatomic data - Create various 2D and 3D deliverables for product managers and marketing communications - Perform complex 3D tolerance analysis ensuring proper fit and function - Manage a portion of the graphics maintenance workload - Comply with existing procedures and standards per the Quality Systems Regulations What Makes You Stand Out - Demonstrated computer graphics skills applicable to product design - Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), capability of applying GD&T; callouts to drawings per ASME Y14.5, in cooperation with an engineer - Product design innovation - Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies - Ability to balance special assignments and maintenance responsibilities amidst the typical workload - Capability of modifying existing Unigraphics models and drawings - Translating design requirements into CAD deliverables at the direction of an engineer Your Background - English proficiency is required (C1) - Technical degree is required - Minimum two years of work experience is required Travel Expectations Up to 5% EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability 6126 Seniority level - Seniority level Entry level Employment type - Employment type Full-time Job function - Job function Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology - Industries Medical Equipment Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Zimmer Biomet by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for "Computer Aided Design Designer" roles.
