We are looking for a self-motivated individual to help lead our growing number of cases. If thats you, youll play an integral role in ensuring our clients are receiving the highest level of care from case sign-up to settlement. – Manage approximately 60-80 cases at various stages of the personal injury claim. – Legal assistant will be responsible for providing updates to clients via phone, email, and text. – Legal assistant will document the case management system with all client and third-party contact so all team members can remain informed of case status updates. – Begin insurance claims for each party involved (client and others if any), which is a fairly easy process. – Communicate with Private Investigators hired by the firm to collect investigative documents, policy searches, background checks, driving records, social media records. – On your own, collect insurance documents, discharge paperwork from hospitals, IDs, past medical information, past claims information, etc. – The goal is to learn as much as possible about the client, as fast as possible. – Communicate with third party Medical Treatment Managers to keep track of client’s appointments, treatment progression, and past medical balances – Discuss treatment with clients. – Must have the ability to gather and review various documents and organize them as needed for each client’s case. – Once they complete the intake of each client’s story, write a summary of the client’s story/case – list of the various documents gathered, in order to tell a story to help build a case. –Will be asked to draft demands to insurance companies on the client’s behalf, as well as Petitions should the case not settle. Templates provided. – Must have excellent English writing skills, but not professionally, but doesn’t need to be a professional writer.
